Born in Limassol, Cyprus, Socrates graduated in Law with honours from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2008. He joined Tsangaris Legal shortly after and became a Partner in 2010. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2009.
